There once was a king who ruled a wealthy country. One day, he wanted to visit every corner of his country. He went to every distant village and town. When he returned to his palace again, he complained about the roads because his feet were in pain due to rocky roads. Therefore, the king ordered his men to cover every road in the country with soft leather.
Covering every road with leather would require a lot of cow skin. Thus, to execute this, a lot of money would be spent.
Then, the queen told the king, “Why are you going to spend a lot of money on this? You can just cut a piece of leather and cover your own feet with it, instead of covering each road?”
This suggestion made king surprised, but he thought the queen was right and made a pair of shoes for himself.
Moral: We can’t change the world but we can change ourselves.
